The History
No Easy Ground officially started life as "Iron Cross" back in 2012. The first draft was written in 2010 as a set of simple rules on a single page of A4 paper.
The rules gradually grew and expanded to cover several pages and was then refined and play-tested before being published by Great Escape Games in 2012.
The Team
The two principal authors behind the original Iron Cross rulebook, Darryl Morton and Stuart McCorquodale, are still involved today.
Stuart, along with Mark Wheatley, are the team behind Great Escape Games (GEG), which publishes a number of popular games such as Dead Man's Hand, Seven Days to the River Rhine, The Chicago Way and 1914.
Darryl, supported by the team at GEG, has spun No Easy Ground out into a separate business (Second Escape Games Limited) and is committed to growing the No Easy Ground gaming community through the ongoing support and expansion of the game.
